Norreport station is located in the busy central Copenhagen district of Indre By, but it can be surprisingly easy to miss. That's because the entire large station is buried underground. With connections to the national railway, the commuter S train, and the city's Metro and bus networks, the station is reachable from anywhere in Copenhagen and serves over 165,000 passengers every day.
The station has been a part of Copenhagen's urban landscape since 1918, when it first opened to connect two pre-existing stations. The station was connected to the S train network in 1934, and two Metro lines joined the station in 2002. Throughout its existence, the station has continued to grow to become the important part of the transit system it is today.
The nearby Copenhagen central station may be bigger, but thanks to its Metro and S train connections, Norreport is busier. And since it is as centrally located as Copenhagen Central, it is as easy to explore the city from Norreport as it is from the larger station.
Located right in the heart of the city, you won’t have to go far from Norreport to see some of Copenhagen’s most popular attractions. Just a short walk from the station, you’ll find many of the city’s iconic sites.
Get a view of central Copenhagen at Rundetaarn, or The Round Tower. The 17th century tower is famous for having a spiral ramp instead of stairs. At the top, there’s a planetarium and a great view over the city.
Explore the lives of the Danish monarchy at Rosenborg Castle. Home to the crown jewels, the castle can be explored on a guided tour that will give you an insight into the glamorous lives of Denmark’s royal family.

Have some fun at Tivoli Gardens. This quaint amusement park has been a feature of central Copenhagen since the 19th century. Its collection of antique rides and amusements, plus great places to eat, makes it a perennially popular attraction in the city.
Explore Copenhagen's endless network of canals by boat. You can take a guided tour or rent your own vessel and explore by yourself. For a truly unique experience, you can even rent a floating hot tub!

Little Mermaid: The Little Mermaid statue is an icon of the city. Located in the harbor, this small statue is a tribute to famous Danish fairytale author Hans Christian Anderson. You'll find a crowd around the statue pretty much any time you visit, but you can't really say you've been to Copenhagen unless you've visited the Mermaid. To make your visit easier, don't forget to drop off heavy bags at a Copenhagen luggage storage shop before you go.
Nyhavn: Nyhavn is one of Copenhagen’s most charming districts. Old wooden ships still float on the 17th-century canal, and tall, brightly painted houses from the same era surround this former port and are now home to an endless array of bars, restaurants, and cafés. Home to an outdoor Christmas market in the winter, Nyhavn is also a perfect place to wander in the summer and soak up the charming atmosphere of this popular part of town. Make things easier on yourself by leaving your heavy bags behind at a luggage storage in Norreport Station before you go.
Bike tour: Copenhagen is a notoriously flat city, and that makes it perfect to explore by bike. In fact, that's how most locals get around, including high-ranking politicians. Rent a bike for yourself and take advantage of Copenhagen's endless network of bike lanes. You'll get some exercise while seeing lots of the city and experiencing Copenhagen like a local.
Convenient to the Met, which does not allow luggage at coat check. Very easy check in and check out process, with lovely people at the front!
This was so cool!!!! Great service, extremely easy to use, and totally affordable! I didn't know where I'd leave my luggage while we explored San Fran, so I easily Googled luggage storage and found this company. At first it was a little odd dropping my bag off at a chocolate store, but the lady at the register was able to immediately pull up my reservation without any problems and then she put a lock on my suitcase and gave me a card to get it back with. She pushed the bag to the back of their storage room and I came back about 6 hours later to pick it up. Great service, I will definitely be using this again when I travel!
Can’t believe I haven’t used this service until now. So easy & convenient. I 100% recommend.
I used Bounce during a recent trip to NYC, and I was pleasantly surprised at the ease and convenience of the process. To be honest, at first, I was very apprehensive. The thought of leaving your stuff at a random store, in a place where you are not from and you don't know whether is safe or not, it doesn't matter if anyone gives it a seal of approval, its difficult to be completely comfortable with the idea. However, I was very glad to be proven wrong. The place I chose was a great, clean bodega/deli in Soho and they were very responsive and the whole process felt very seamless. It was our last day in NYC and we had the full day before leaving the city, however our Airbnb was on the upper east side so we did not want to have to go back and forth. I would definitely recommend Bounce for travelers, especially when you need a place to just store your luggage for the day. The price could not be beat (since its for the whole day) and I will definitely be using this again!
Fantastic experience with Bounce! Stored a bag at the Grand Central location and on my last day at the 9/11 Memorial location. Both locations had friendly, efficient staff that were helpful and made everything very easy. Such a great option if your hotel isn't ready or you don't want the hassle of a bag in the city. Great, safe option. Thanks Bounce!
