This cute cafe has a fun tradition where each guest has to take a small figurine to their table so that the staff knows where you are sitting! It is definitely a cozy place where you can really settle down and get comfortable, and with both indoor and outdoor seating, you can take advantage of the sunny days as well. Rum Baba usually opens between 8 am and 9 am and closes at 4:30 pm or 5 pm, depending on the day.

CT Coffee & Coconuts is one of the city's most popular coffee shops. It was actually a former cinema that has been transformed into a cafe complete with ample seating and a unique atmosphere. Despite how spacious it is, the shop can get busy pretty quickly and you should try to arrive close to opening time if you want to secure yourself a seat.
Even though it gets crowded you will definitely want to stop by just to see how impressive the space is. While you are here try ordering some food, a cup of their amazing coffee or a drink served from a coconut! They open every day at 7 am and close between 5 pm and 6 pm throughout the week.

Another fantastic place to buckle down for a few hours while sipping on something tasty is Monks Coffee Roasters. With comfortable seats and a wide selection of coffees, this is one of the best places in Amsterdam to sit down with a computer or a textbook.
They have a stable, fast and free wifi service so you will definitely see other individuals working on their own projects here as well. They are open for most of the day with hours from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 4 pm on weekends.

One of the city's most aesthetically pleasing places to stop and work in Amsterdam is the Scandinavian Embassy. Both trendy and relaxing, this shop is great for some quiet studying and productive work.

This cozy cafe has two separate locations in the city, one of which is located in an old Shell laboratory and is where they received their name. It is one of Amsterdam's hidden gems which is what makes it such a great place to work remotely, alongside the available power outlets and wi-fi. Lots of people use the space to meet up with colleagues, build connections with others, and promote freelance jobs.
As a bonus, this is one of the best places for quality coffee and chai tea. In terms of food, they are also well equipped, so take your pick from homemade salads, sandwiches, toasties, and cakes! They are closed on weekends but are open from 8:30 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday.

This will be one of the favorite spots in the city for anyone really enjoys quality coffee. Back to Black has its own coffee bar and roastery, and the super friendly baristas are prepared to serve you the best coffee that you have ever had. Their drinks are also sustainably made!
Treat yourself to some beautifully made lattes or attend one of the latte art workshops if you want to learn how to do it yourself. Their shop has lots of seating that is great for individual work or group projects. This spot has opening hours from 8 am to 4 pm during the week and from 9 am to 5 pm on weekends.

Bocca
If you need to find somewhere simple and clean so you can get work done with no distractions then this is the place for you. The Bocca cafe follows a minimalistic setting but still remains one of the city's favorite cafes, mainly thanks to the great coffee that they make using their very own beans!
The way that Bocca works is a bit different; you have to pay a small hourly fee in order to work here, but included in that price is a free drink at no additional cost! You should also be aware that they have a no laptop policy on the couches and chairs after 11 am on weekdays. But don't worry, you can set up and work remotely for as long as you need at the desk ledge close to the kitchen. Bocca's hours are from 8 am to 6 pm except for on weekends when they open at 9 am.

Public Space
You will have a great time working at this modern coffee shop in Amsterdam which is decked out with lots of available seating and power outlets. It is a real haven for all digital nomads with nice high ceilings and large windows that let in lots of natural light. You won't have to worry about getting distracted here since the décor is quite minimal and contemporary.
Public Space is one of Amsterdam's less known cafes which is why it can be the perfect spot for a quiet study session. Feel free to stay as long as you'd like, if you get hungry Public Space has a delicious breakfast and lunch menu. Their hours are from 9 am to 4 pm and they often reopen again for dinner from 5:30 pm to 11 pm. You can find them just behind the A'DAM Tower.

MidWest
MidWest was born in a unique building from the 1920s which might not look like much from the outside, but on the inside, it is actually a very cozy place to work. The space used to be an old school gymnasium so there is lots of room. They've even added a cute backyard garden perfect for taking a stroll through when you need a break.
They have endless pots of good coffee waiting for you and if you want to stay and work in their quiet environment for a few hours they can accommodate you with some great work-space subscriptions. Midwest also has meeting rooms for rent if you need to meet up with people and work as a group! They are closed from Sunday to Tuesday but are open all day beginning at 9 am or 10 am until 6 pm for the rest of the week.

Frederix Micro Roasters
Another perfect spot to sit and work remotely in Amsterdam Oost is this cafe called Frederix Micro Roasters. The shop has been recently renovated and now features a super comfortable interior where you can cozy up with a laptop or some paperwork. They have tables suitable for individual work as well as a bigger communal table, or you are more than welcome to set up at the bar.

For a place with a nice view and cozy atmosphere head to the Hoxton Hotel which is right off of the Herengracht canal. The hotel lobby is filled with soft couches and chairs adorned with pillows so you can really settle in and work in comfort. The perfect place for any digital nomad!
If you want a quiet space we recommend grabbing a seat on the upper level since the first floor usually has bigger groups. The bar can offer you coffee or try some of the other drinks in the cocktail den.

Zoku is actually another hotel but their cafe and restaurant space have become a popular spot for students and others to spend time working. It can also be a great place to meet new people and make connections! To work here you will need to have a pass and they have several good options available.
You will have the choice to sign up for either a monthly or day pass and if you are only planning to stick around for a little while you are welcome to sit on the gorgeous outdoor terrace. Of course, if you get hungry you have the entire restaurant menu to choose from as well as coffee.
