The William H. Gray III 30th Street Station, otherwise known simply as 30th Street Station, is a mixed-mode transit station in West Philadelphia. Established in 1933, the station functions as the main train station in metropolitan Philadelphia and is also one of the major bus stations in the region. Airport travel from 30th Street Station

The most convenient way to get from the airport to 30th Street Station is to take the SEPTA  (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) Regional Rail. There is a direct line from  Terminal A to the station, which takes around 20 minutes and costs $5 to $7. A cheaper option is to take the SEPTA bus Route 37 from Terminal B, which heads to Center City Philadelphia. The journey takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs around $3.

The fastest way to get to the museum from 30th Street Station is to take the SEPTA bus or trolley line, Route 7 or 32, both of which stop near the museum. The cost of a one-way trip is $2.50 and the journey takes about 10 to 15 minutes. If you don’t mind walking, you can opt for a stroll along the scenic Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The museum is conveniently located at the west end of the parkway, making it a pleasant 20 to 30-minute walk from the station.

30th Street Station to One Liberty Place

Established in 1987, One Liberty Place is a popular landmark located in Center City. Rising to a height of 945 feet (288 meters), One Liberty Place held the title of Philadelphia's tallest building for over two decades until the completion of the Comcast Center in 2008. One of its major draws is the observation deck on the 57th floor, which provides breathtaking views of Philadelphia's skyline, historic landmarks, and picturesque landscapes.

The subway is one of the most convenient ways to get from the station to One Liberty Place. Take the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) headed towards Frankford Transportation Center and get off at 15th Street. Once there, you can walk the rest of the way until you reach One Liberty Place. The entire journey takes between 10 and 15 minutes and the fare costs $2.50 per way. Another option is to take the SEPTA Bus (Line 124) and get off near Market Street, which is just a short distance from One Liberty Place.

30th Street Station to The Franklin Institute

The Franklin Institute is one of Philly’s most prestigious cultural attractions and stands as a beacon of scientific discovery and innovation. Founded in 1824, it pays homage to Benjamin Franklin's enduring legacy as a statesman, inventor, and scientist. Inside, guests can embark on a journey through the human body with the Giant Heart exhibit, marvel at the marvels of space and astronomy in the Fels Planetarium, or unleash their inner engineer in the Train Factory exhibit.

To get to The Franklin Institute from 30th Street Station, the best option is to take the SEPTA bus directly from the station; Routes 32, 33, 38 or 49 all serve the area near the museum. Alight at the bus stop on 20th Street and Race Street and walk the rest of the way until you reach your destination. You can also walk the rest of the way, which takes about 20 minutes (depending on your walking speed) and covers a distance of around 0.85 miles.
