About 30th Street Station

Located near the Schuylkill River, just outside of University City, 30th Street Station is a major transportation hub in Philadelphia. Constructed in 1933, then rebuilt in 1989, 30th Street Station is now the main train station serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area. With over 4 million visitors each year, it is the third busiest station servicing Amtrak, just after New York’s Penn Station and Washington D.C.’s Union Station.

 

Fun Fact: During the 1970s 30th Street Station was home to a bowling alley
