From Los Angeles Union Station, you can reach The Grove by taking bus route 70 to Grand Ave, then transferring to bus route 16, which will bring you to the mall itself. This journey will take around an hour and a half, so it may be easier to take a taxi or car service which can make the same journey in about 20 minutes.
From Los Angeles International Airport, it's a bit more of an arduous journey, requiring multiple transfers from one bus to another and taking close to two hours. In that case, you'll certainly be better off taking a car, which can get you there in less than half an hour.
