About Kew Gardens

The Royal Kew Gardens are located in Richmond, southwest London, and have more than 300 acres and 50,000 different plants and flowers. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the botanical park on the banks of the River Thames has over 50 features including some awesome guided tours, 10 ornamental buildings, and 10 plant houses.

Many people come from all over the world to see this famous royal garden. The flora is only part of the appeal though. The park also has a variety of different attractions including an art gallery, the Royal golf club, and of course, the Kew Palace. Be sure to see The Great Pagoda. It was made in 1762 for Princess Augusta. It has 10 floors and is an incredible sight. You can climb to the top but you will have to take 253 steps to get there.

Besides all that, Kew Gardens also has several museums and galleries where you can see some stunning artwork, namely botanical art. You can see more than 60,000 plants when you walk along the Great Broad Walk Borders as well. If you would rather not walk, take a seat on the Kew Explorer road train run by special gas to help the environment.
