• Kennington Park: Roughly one mile from the Vauxhall Bridge, Kennington Park has been the site of several dramatic events in London’s history. Although it opened as a public park in 1854, the location was formerly known as Kennington Common.
  The area was widely used for public executions and events to watch public orators. Just a few years before Kennington Common became an urban park, it was the site of a massive protest for male suffrage.
  Things are more peaceful today since Kennington Park has grown into a popular location for recreational activities. • SIS Building: The SIS Building is not a place you can wander inside, but its façade still leaves a little tingle down your spine. Looming high above the River Thames, the gargantuan building at Vauxhall Cross is home to the MI6, the foreign intelligence agency of the United Kingdom government.
  Security concerns and expensive upgrade costs forced the MI6 to leave its former headquarters before settling in Vauxhall. A group of industrial buildings stood here until architect Terry Farrell designed the structure that stands today. It's rumored that the building includes all sorts of nooks and crannies, such as underground tunnels.
  Similar to Kennington Common, the site witnessed dramatic events years ago. An anti-tank rocket attack in 2000 caused a stressful disturbance and heightened security awareness around the building. Over the years, members of the Royal Family visited the building for intelligence briefings, and Hollywood included the MI6 headquarters in several James Bond films.  
• Above The Stag Theatre: Above The Stag Theatre proves that Vauxhall isn’t just about its raging nightclubs. The performing arts venue stands out since it’s the only place in London that caters to LGBT-themed productions year-round.
  Show attendees witness intimate displays of talent due to the facility’s limited seating. The max capacity fails to reach 200, but the actors captivate the audience with profound performances.
  Take a closer look outside the venue, and you’ll notice that it rests beneath railway arches. Surprisingly, the occasional trains that rumble above the theatre don’t seem to hamper the acoustics of each show.
